The short version. Room Seven keeps your progress on your own phone and does not ask who you are. We collect nothing about you ourselves. The game shows an ad only when you choose to watch one for a reward, and the company that provides those ads receives some information from your device to do it, as described below.
Who we are
Room Seven is made by ComboMint Studio ("we", "us"), listed in the app stores as TapCandy Studio. For anything about this policy or your information, write to support@tapcandy.studio.
What stays on your phone
Your progress and settings (scores, rank, medals, credits, the kit you own and wear, the operator you chose, sound and control settings) are saved only on your phone, in the game's own storage. They never leave it, and deleting the game deletes them. We cannot see them.
What we collect
Nothing that identifies you. There is no account, no sign-in, no analytics of our own and no crash reporting of our own, and we do not sell your information. The app stores (Apple and Google) may collect information under their own policies when you download the game, for example crash reports you agree to share with developers; we receive those only in anonymous, aggregate form.
Ads you choose to watch
Some rewards in the game (continuing a fallen shift, double experience, new supply cards, a second daily crate) can be had by watching a short ad. An ad plays only when you tap to watch one; the game never shows an ad you did not ask for. These ads are served by Unity Technologies through its LevelPlay service (with Unity Ads and the ironSource exchange as ad sources). To choose, show and count ads, and to prevent fraud, Unity and the advertisers bidding through it receive from your device:
- the device's advertising identifier (Google's advertising ID on Android; Apple's only if you allow tracking, see below) and identifiers set by the ad software;
- information about the device: model, operating system, language, time zone, connection type, and an approximate location derived from the IP address;
- how ads are seen and used: which ads were shown, whether one was watched to the end or tapped.
We receive only totals from Unity (for example how many ads were shown and what they earned), never information about you. How Unity uses this information is set out in Unity's privacy policy for players.
- On iPhone and iPad, the game asks Apple's question about tracking the first time you choose to watch an ad, never before. Whatever you answer, the game and its rewards are the same; if you decline, the ads are not personalised. You can change your answer in Settings, Privacy & Security, Tracking.
- On Android, you can delete or reset your advertising ID, or opt out of personalised ads, in your phone's Settings under Privacy (or Google), Ads.
- In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, the game asks for ads that are not personalised.
Purchases
The game sells one optional item, the supporter pack, which changes how your fighter looks and gives in-game credits; it gives no advantage in play. Payment is handled entirely by the Apple App Store or Google Play. We never see your payment details; the store tells the game only that the pack was bought, so it can be given to you and restored on a new device.
Children
Room Seven is meant for players aged 13 and over and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Your rights
Because we hold no information about you, there is nothing for us to show, correct or delete. For the information used for ads, see Delete your data, which explains how to ask Unity and how to reset your advertising identifier.
Changes
If what the game shares ever changes, this page will say so before that version is released, and the date above will change.
